Ogun Police Release TikTok Influencer to Ministry After R*pe Allegation Investigation Update


The Ogun State Police Command has issued an official update regarding the rape allegation made by Abigeal Nsiak, popularly known as Mirabel on TikTok.

In a press statement released on February 25, 2026, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed that the complainant visited the police station following her online allegation. According to the Command, she was received and immediately taken to a medical facility for necessary examinations as part of standard investigative procedures.

Police authorities stated that she has continued to cooperate with investigators as due process unfolds.

Released for Welfare Support

In consideration of her welfare and overall wellbeing, the complainant has been released into the care of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The Ministry has reportedly taken responsibility for her care and assured the police that she will be made available whenever required as investigations continue.

 This move, according to the Command, is to ensure that the matter is handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and diligence, especially given the nature of the allegation.

Police Urge Public to Avoid Speculation

The Ogun State Police Command also appealed to members of the public to refrain from speculation and allow the investigation to run its full course. The Command assured that further updates will be communicated as necessary.
