Broda Shaggi reportedly sustained a gunshot injury while filming a comedy skit in Sango-Ota, Ogun State, and was rushed to the hospital for treatment
Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalised after he was allegedly shot while filming a comedy skit.
According to reports reaching BuzzVaultNG, the entertainer, whose real name is Samuel Perry, was recording a skit with his crew under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State when the shocking incident occurred.
Sources say the comedian sustained a gunshot injury during the shoot, causing panic among his team members who quickly rushed him to a hospital for urgent treatment.
He was initially taken to Blooming Care Hospital where doctors reportedly provided first aid. Due to the nature of the injury, he was later referred to Duchess Hospital for further medical care.
Officials from the Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the hospital alerted authorities after a gunshot victim was brought in. Officers who arrived at the facility discovered that the injured person was the popular comedian.
Reports indicate that he suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh and is currently receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command said the incident has not yet been officially reported to them, even though it was alleged to have happened within their jurisdiction.
Investigations are ongoing as fans and followers continue to react with concern over the comedian’s health.
