Trump Says It’s an “Honor” to Take Out Iranian Leaders as War Escalates
Tensions in the Middle East continue to rise as Donald Trump made a controversial statement about the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Iran.
According to reports reaching BuzzVaultNG, the U.S. president said he feels “honored” to be responsible for the killing of Iran’s military leadership during the ongoing war.
Trump made the remark in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, shortly after midnight in Washington.
“They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so,” Trump wrote.
The conflict reportedly intensified after the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28. Since then, several high-ranking Iranian officials have reportedly been killed, including Iran’s long-time Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, along with other top figures in Tehran.
Trump also criticized media reports questioning whether the military operation has been successful. He insisted that Iran’s military has suffered massive losses.
According to him, Iran’s forces are “being decimated” and their leadership has been “wiped from the face of the earth.”
The U.S. president further warned that more attacks could follow, saying America has the military strength and resources to continue the fight.
Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that American forces were preparing for a major escalation.
Speaking during a press briefing, Hegseth said the U.S. military would carry out its heaviest wave of airstrikes yet.
“In fact, today will be yet again the highest volume of strikes that America has put over the skies of Iran and Tehran,” he said.
The situation has raised fears of a deeper regional conflict as global leaders continue to monitor developments closely.
