Blessing CEO Lands in Court Over Alleged N36m Fraud Case

Popular social media personality and relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as “Blessing CEO,” has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over an alleged N36 million fraud case in Lagos.

The controversial influencer appeared before the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi on Friday, May 15, 2026, following allegations that she obtained millions of naira from a client under false pretence linked to a property deal in Lekki.

According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO allegedly collected N36 million from Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye between July 14 and 17, 2024, while claiming she could secure a six-bedroom detached duplex located in Lekki, Lagos. The anti-graft agency further alleged that the property arrangement was false and that the money was later converted for personal use.

During the court session, her lawyer informed the judge that efforts had already been made toward settlement. He revealed that the defendant had reportedly refunded N24 million to the complainant and requested a short adjournment to allow both parties settle the remaining balance outside court.

However, the prosecution counsel opposed the request, stressing that the case was now between the defendant and the Federal Government of Nigeria, not just the complainant alone. The prosecution insisted that the arraignment must proceed as scheduled.

Justice D.I. Dipeolu ruled that discussions between both parties could continue while the case remained before the court. Following the ruling, the charges were read and Blessing CEO pleaded “not guilty” to all counts.

The court later ordered that she be remanded in EFCC custody pending the perfection of her bail conditions. The case was subsequently adjourned till June 5, 2026, when trial proceedings are expected to begin.

The development has since sparked heavy reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the growing number of fraud-related allegations involving public figures and influencers. While some believe the matter may eventually be resolved through settlement, others insist the court process should be allowed to run its full course.

Blessing CEO has remained one of Nigeria’s most talked-about internet personalities over the years, often making headlines for her controversial relationship advice and social media drama. This latest legal battle is now adding another major chapter to her public image.
